Scott has always had a love for the outdoors so it seemed natural to get skilled in a trade to enable him to work amongst it. So while working part time at a local arborist company, this enabled him to gain qualifications in this industry through Waikato Technical Institute. After Scott gained his Certificate in Horticultural Science and an Advanced Certificate in Arboriculture. Scott contracted to a range of arborist companies including Waitakere Council Parks Department and for himself until Arborcare Tree Maintenance was established in 1994.
Initially based in Auckland, Scott continued to grow the business even when he moved to Maungaturoto in 2003 to now have a number of vehicles, machinery and staff. This includes specialised equipment for residential work and also larger equipment for large scale work. He also runs an apprenticeship scheme and ongoing training for his staff. The areas he now covers are the Whangarei, Kaipara, and Rodney Districts as well as long-time clients and referrals. Arborcare provides a quality and proven service to our customers and undertake all our work with care, considering clients’ needs as well as the effects on the trees and environment.
What We Do
We carry out all aspects of Arboricultural tree care and removal. This includes pruning for view, light and shape. Deadwooding. Trimming and removal of hedges. We also have a range of Stump grinding machines for that finishing touch.
